Serious Injury - Truck-driver from Salem

Oregon State Police had to investigate a single-vehicle tractor-trailer crash on I-5 on June 8. The truck driver Steven Howard, from Salem, was driving northbound on I-5 when he slammed into the impact barrier between the travel lanes and Exit 233 off-ramp. The truck skidded and rolled over on the exit lane. The driver was seriously injured.

JEEP vs Kenworth Deadly Crash

Police are investigating a fatal auto and tractor-trailer accident that occurred on July 11. The police reported there was a serious accident on Highway 228 in Linn County near milepost 2.5 on July 11 at 1:40 PM. The investigation showed that a Jeep Cherokee driven by Michael McDaniel, 69, was going west on Highway 228 when it drifted over the center line and slammed into a Kenworth tractor-trailer. The truck was driven by Bradley Crowson, 48. McDaniel was killed at the scene, and the truck driver also was injured.
