On September 24, 2019, on Highway 58 at I-5 interchange near Goshen, Oregon Jeep Cherokee with two young people inside – a driver and his passenger - was going east. For some reason, the driver turned in front of a tractor-trailer to get on I-5 north but it didn't make it. Jeep was hit on the passenger side where Aiden O’Grady was seated. He was killed in the accident. The driver of the Jeep had non-life threatening injuries.
On August 20 Police responded to a crash on Highway 126. A 2011 Toyota Venza, driving by Kenneth Vaughan, was going west on Highway 126 when it drove off the road and hit a large pile of rocks. Tragically Vaughan and his two passengers died.
On July 11 at 3:30 pm, a two-vehicle car accident occurred on Highway 211 near South Mackburg Road in Clackamas County near Molalla that killed two.
On July 2, a tip led Police to a home in Klamath Falls where troopers found a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe that is thought to be the vehicle that killed a man on June 15. Troopers identified the driver as Alizabeth Witheril (20) of Klamath Falls as the driver of the SUV that struck the man. She was placed under arrest for failure to perform duties of a driver to injured persons (hit and run) and tampering with physical evidence.
On June 15, Henry Rittenhouse, 36, was found in the middle of South 6th Street in Klamath County at 3:47 am, dead at the scene.
On June 18 another needless tragedy happened in Klamath Falls. Mazda, driven by Zahara Gonzales, 38, was going west on Highway 140E and entered an active construction zone. She hit Daniel Wessel, who was just 45 years old, working as a road construction flagger from Rocky Mountain Construction. Mr. Wessel had fatal injuries and died at the crash scene.
