BENTON COUNTY, OR — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle wreck on Oregon Route 99W near south Corvallis, reports KOIN 6 News.
The collision occurred near Eureka Road and Bruce Road. Officials with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at about 1:00 p.m.
An early investigation shows a 75-year-old McMinnville man was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck northbound when the pickup traveled past the center line and hit a southbound Subaru Legacy head-on.
The McMinnville man and the driver of the Subaru, a 76-year-old Corvallis woman, were both transported to Good Samaritan Regional Center with undisclosed injuries. No updates on their conditions have been released at this time.
All traffic on OR-99W was reduced to a single open lane during the response.
An investigation remains underway, but officials do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the wreck.
