PORTLAND, OR — A 46-year-old man has been identified as the person who died Saturday evening after being hit by a vehicle in northeast Portland, according to Portland Police Bureau.
The fatal crash happened at the intersection of Northeast Sandy Boulevard and Northeast 162nd Avenue, in the Wilkes Community Group area. It was first reported at around 6:30 p.m.
Authorities have still not disclosed what led up to the incident, but the male victim, Jason Todd Clark, was pronounced deceased on the scene. The PPB released an update on Tuesday, March 7, indicating that his family has been notified.
No information on the involved driver has been shared, but they stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
A span of Northeast Sandy Boulevard was closed for multiple hours as the scene was processed.
