CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR — Two people were injured, one critically, Thursday afternoon when a vehicle crashed into a Wingstop restaurant in northeast Clackamas, reports KOIN 6 News.

Clackamas Fire District No. 1 crews responded to the scene off Southeast Sunnyside Road at around 3:00 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the accident, but the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said a 62-year-old driver in an SUV crashed into the business.

One person suffered critical injuries and was rushed to an area hospital, while another patient received treatment at the scene for more minor injuries. The CCSO did not confirm whether those victims were occupants of the building or of the vehicle.

A photo captured at the scene shows the white SUV stopped almost completely inside the restaurant, with broken glass strewn across the floor.

The driver, who was not reported hurt, stayed at the restaurant and cooperated with authorities.

An investigation remains underway, and no charges or citations have been reported as of this writing.
