WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR — One person died early Friday after being hit by a vehicle on Tualatin Valley Highway in Aloha, according to KATU2.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred at the intersection with Southwest 178th Avenue, at approximately 3:48 a.m.
Investigators learned a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle which also hit a nearby power pole.
The victim died from their injuries at the scene, confirmed officials. First responders transported the driver to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
A section of the highway was blocked between Southwest 174th Avenue and Southwest 182nd Avenue for an extended time.
The WCSO has not reported any charges at this time, but an investigation remains in progress.
