LANE COUNTY, OR – Two people died and another was seriously hurt after a head-on collision in Lane County on Friday night.

According to KOIN, the crash happened on Highway 126 near milepost 46 around 10 p.m. Kristi Rose, 54, was driving a Chrysler 300 when she veered into oncoming traffic and struck a Ford Explorer head-on.

Rose and her 74-year-old passenger, James Esch, were both pronounced dead.

Linda Coy, 54, was driving the Ford at the time of the collision. She was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.
