PORTLAND, OR – A single-vehicle crash in north Portland claimed the lives of two people and left a third critically injured early Thursday morning.
According to KOIN, the rollover crash occurred on North Lombard Street near the intersection with North Chautauqua Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m.
Police say the vehicle rolled over for unknown reasons and crashed into several objects along the roadway, including a power pole.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
The roadway was shut down for several hours while investigators worked at the scene.
