LANE CO., OR – A 5-vehicle collision in Lane County injured at least seven people last Thursday, December 23rd.
According to a report by KOIN, the trailer was being pulled by a Dodge pickup truck when it overturned on OR-58 and slid across the lanes of travel. Four additional cars were then hit by the trailer before it came to a stop.
In total, seven individuals were injured in the wreck. 18-year-old Kayd Shelby was airlifted to an area hospital in critical condition. The six additional victims were taken via ambulance to nearby hospitals with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the Dodge truck that was pulling the trailer, Steven More, was uninjured in the crash. It is unclear at this time what caused the trailer to flip.
