PORTLAND, OR — A collision Thursday morning blocked three left lanes and caused long delays on Interstate 5 in southwest Portland, according to TTN Portland.
The wreck took place on the northbound interstate before Exit 295 to Southwest Capitol Highway, near the West Portland Park neighborhood. It was first reported by the Oregon Department of Transportation shortly before 10:50 a.m.
Authorities have not said what led up to the crash, but at the time of the initial report, traffic was already backed up to Oregon State Highway 217 (Kruse Way) at Exit 292.
As late as 12:00 p.m., more than an hour later, an update from ODOT indicated the three lanes remained blocked.
