WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR — Authorities responded to a fatal collision Tuesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 26 near North Plains, according to KATU.

The accident occurred near Exit 55 to Northwest Dersham Road, west the city and east of the Oregon Highway 6 junction. It was first reported by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 3:15 p.m.

At this time, the WCSO has not indicated the number of people or vehicles impacted by the crash.

Delays were expected in the area as Oregon State Police conducted an investigation. Alternate routes were recommended.
