PORTLAND, OR – The driver who caused a deadly crash after running a red light in Southeast Portland early last month has been arrested.

Deandre M. Goudy, 29, is facing charges of second-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, and third-degree assault for the fatal crash that happened on Southeast 82nd Avenue at Foster Road on Jan. 9. reports The Oregonian.

Goudy was speeding on Southeast 82nd Avenue when he blew through the red light and and struck a vehicle that was turning at the intersection.

Mark W. Barnette, 60, was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit and died of his injuries at OHSU Hospital. The driver, Jeana O’Kelley, suffered a broken arm in the collision.

Goudy also suffered a fractured arm after his vehicle overturned onto its side in a nearby parking lot. He was sent to the hospital where staff confirmed his blood alcohol content was well above the legal limit at 0.135%.
