POLK COUNTY, OR — Heavy vehicle damage was reported last Thursday evening after a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 99W near Rickreall, according to KPTV.
Authorities said the accident took place near milepost 55, just south of Farmer Road. Firefighters with the SW Fire District responded to the scene at around 7:30 p.m.
Details remain limited, but a small sedan and a pickup truck collided at a “high rate of speed,” leaving both vehicles with major damage.
First responders were said to have evaluated occupants for injuries, but it was unclear how many people were involved in the crash and whether anyone had to be taken to a hospital.
Photos taken at the scene show vehicle debris strewn across the roadway for about a quarter mile.
