MULTNOMAH COUNTY, OR — A driver crashed their truck into a school bus Monday afternoon after evading a traffic stop in northwest Gresham, according to KATU.

The collision took place near Northeast 181st Avenue and Northeast Pacific Street, in the city’s Wilkes East neighborhood.

Gresham Police said officers attempted to pull over a driver in a truck, but the driver refused to stop. Though officers decided not to pursue the vehicle, its driver lost control moments later and the truck collided with the rear-end of a school bus.

Officials with the Reynolds School District confirmed students were on the bus at the time. Though the children were said to have been “shaken” in the event, no one was reported injured.
