News: Major crash closes part of OR-18 in Sheridan

YAMHILL COUNTY, OR — Oregon State Police responded to a serious collision Thursday evening on Oregon State Highway 18 in Sheridan, reports KATU2.

Authorities did not say exactly where the accident occurred, but westbound traffic was advised to take Oregon State Highway 18B as a detour, and Southwest Ballston Road was recommended as a detour for eastbound traffic. KATU2 first reported the story at 8:24 p.m.

At this time, no information regarding the cause of the crash or the involved vehicles has been released.

It remains unclear whether anyone was injured and/or had to be taken to a hospital.

An investigation by Oregon State Police remains underway.
