PORTLAND, OR — A man died Sunday night after a pedestrian crash in the Kenton neighborhood of north Portland, according to KATU.

The fatal incident occurred at the corner of North Columbia Boulevard and North Interstate Place at about 9:00 p.m. Portland Police Bureau responded to the scene shortly after.

Authorities have not released any information regarding the circumstances of the event, but officers arrived to find a male pedestrian had died after being hit by a vehicle.

The driver of the striking vehicle stayed at the site and cooperated with investigators.

Part of North Columbia Boulevard between North Interstate Place and the I-5 overpass was blocked off, as was the area around the North Argyle Street and North Interstate Place intersection.

No other information has been shared at this time. An investigation remains ongoing.
