PORTLAND, OR — One person died late Monday afternoon after their motorcycle was struck by a vehicle in southeast Portland, according to KATU.
The fatal incident occurred on Southeast Division Street, east of 154th Avenue, in the city’s Centennial Community Association area. It was first reported just before 5:00 p.m.
Little information has been disclosed at this time, but the Portland Police Bureau said officers arrived to find the motorcyclist deceased and lying in the roadway. By then, the driver of the other vehicle had fled the crash site.
A section of Division Street between 154th and 158th avenues was shut down for the initial investigation.
Authorities have not released a description of the fleeing vehicle as of this writing.
