PORTLAND, OR – An off-duty police officer was injured on his motorcycle when he was rear-ended by a driver in South Portland Thursday morning.

According to KPTV, the officer was headed to work at South River Parkway and South Harbor Drive when the driver hit the back of his motorcycle.

The driver, 36-year-old Barrett Noggle Jr. was arrested on charges of DUII, reckless driving, and assault in the fourth degree.

The officer was transported to a local hospital for his injuries and is in stable condition.
