CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR — One person was hospitalized Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Oregon Highway 99E at the Molalla River in Canby, reports KATU2.
The incident took place on a span of the highway between South Bellevue Avenue and Southwest Berg Parkway, shortly before 5:00 a.m.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but Oregon State Patrol troopers said the pedestrian suffered injuries considered life-threatening. The patient was rushed to a local hospital.
The driver, who was not reported hurt, stayed behind and cooperated with authorities.
A section of the highway was expected to remain closed for at least two hours during the response and investigation.
