MULTNOMAH COUNTY, OR — One person died early Thursday after a single-vehicle wreck that left another injured near southeast Gresham, reports KOIN 6 News.
The fatal accident happened on Southeast Orient Drive, near the Y intersection with Southeast Bluff Road. Deputies with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at about 1:45 a.m.
It remains unclear at this time what caused the collision, but officials confirmed a passenger died from their injuries at the scene.
The sheriff’s office said the driver suffered injuries, but the severity of their condition has not been disclosed.
A section of Orient Drive was shut down for multiple hours during the response.
An investigation into the cause of the crash was in progress.
