PORTLAND, OR – One person died and another was seriously injured when they were hit by a car in northeast Portland on Tuesday.
According to KOIN, the crash took place near the intersection of Northeast 44th Avenue and Fremont Street.
Police say two victims were struck by a vehicle. One unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other individual was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperative with investigators.
