News: Pedestrian dies after hit-and-run crash in NE Portland

PORTLAND, OR — A man died late Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle in northeast Portland’s Argay Terrace neighborhood, according to KATU.

Portland Police said the fatal incident occurred in the 4000 block of Northeast 122nd Avenue. It was first reported at around 11:45 p.m.

No details have been released regarding the circumstances behind the crash, but first responders said they arrived to find the victim deceased. By that time, the driver had fled the scene.

An investigation by the Portland Police Major Crash Team remains ongoing.

Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the Traffic Investigations Unit at (503) 823-2103, or by emailing [email protected], using reference case number 22-262805.
