WASHINGTON COUNTY, WA — HPD officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian Monday morning near The Streets of Tanasbourne shopping mall in Hillsboro, reports KATU2.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Northeast Cornell Road and Northeast Stucki Avenue, just before 6:00 a.m.

It was unclear what led up to the event, but the Hillsboro Police Department confirmed the pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A section of Northeast Cornell Road between Northeast Stucki Avenue and Northwest 194th Terrace/Northeast Amberglen Parkway/Northwest Amberwood Drive was expected to be closed for multiple hours.

Motorists were advised to find alternate routes as authorities conducted an investigation.
