PORTLAND, OR — A man was seriously injured late Wednesday night when he was struck by a vehicle in southwest Portland’s Hayhurst neighborhood, reports KPTV.
Portland Police responded to the scene in the 6100 block of Southwest 45th Avenue, shortly before 11:00 p.m.
The circumstances behind the incident remain under investigation, but officers arrived to find the man unconscious on the roadway after an apparent hit-and-run collision.
Officials said the victim suffered serious injuries and was rushed to an area hospital.
At this time, no information on the driver or the striking vehicle has been released.
The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team continue to investigate.
