PORTLAND, OR — One person was hospitalized Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing 132nd Avenue in northeast Portland, according to KATU2.

The incident occurred at the intersection with Northeast Halsey Street, in the city’s Russell neighborhood, just after 7:00 p.m. Portland police and crews with Portland Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.

It remains unclear at this time what led up to the event, but the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital. No information indicating the extent of injuries has been shared.

Authorities said the driver stayed behind and cooperated with investigators.

As of this writing, no pending charges have been reported.
