MULTNOMAH COUNTY, OR — One person died early Friday morning after a pedestrian accident on Southeast Orient Drive in southeast Gresham, according to KATU2.
Deputies with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the 29200 block of the road after receiving a report just before 3:00 a.m.
The circumstances behind the incident have not been disclosed, but authorities said the victim was hit by a passenger car and was pronounced deceased.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
A section of Southeast Orient Drive was blocked for nearly three hours during the initial investigation.
