PORTLAND, OR – A Portland police officer was taken to the hospital after a car crash while on patrol in the city Friday night.
According to KATU, the crash happened near the intersection of near Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Powell Boulevard around 8 p.m.
The officer was on the way to an emergency call when they crashed with at least one other vehicle. The occupants of the other car were not injured.
The officer was taken to an area hospital although the extent of their injuries was not disclosed.
