PORTLAND, OR — The Portland Police Bureau is searching for a driver who may have witnessed a fatal crash on Monday, December 5, in northeast Portland, reports KATU.
The collision occurred near Northeast Prescott Street and Northeast 11th Avenue, in the city’s Sabin neighborhood, just after 12:00 p.m.
Investigators said one person was driving a 2006 Chevy Impala eastbound on Northeast Prescott Street, when, for undisclosed reasons, the vehicle hit a telephone pole and a parked car.
Officers arrived to find the driver deceased at the scene.
Further investigation has led authorities to believe a driver in a gray 2003-2008 Subaru Forester was likely in the same intersection at the time of the wreck.
The PPB urges anyone with information on this other driver to contact investigators, as that driver could have helpful information on the circumstances of the crash. Those with possible footage of the event are also asked to come forward.
