CLARK COUNTY, WA – A man died after the truck he was in traveled off-road and hit several trees outside of Yacolt on Friday night.

According to FOX12, the incident happened just after 9 p.m. at the 26700 block of Northeast Lucia Falls Road. The driver of the pickup had been traveling eastbound when they veered off the side of the road and struck several trees.

The driver and passenger both had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel.

51-year-old Steven Woolsey was a passenger in the pickup and died at the scene. The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an are hospital.

Authorities believe speeding and alcohol to be contributing factors of the crash. The incident is currently under investigation.
