PORTLAND, OR — A 33-year-old woman was hospitalized late Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle in southeast Portland’s South Tabor neighborhood, reports KATU.
The incident took place at Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 64th Avenue. Portland Police Bureau’s East Precinct officers, Portland Fire and Rescue, as well as AMR crews responded to the scene at about 10:04 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but authorities said the driver fled the scene.
The victim, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was rushed to an area hospital. No updates on her condition have been disclosed.
In response to the nature of the victim’s injuries, the Portland Police Major Crash Team and Forensic Evidence Division were called to the site for an investigation.
