PORTLAND, OR — One person died Tuesday morning after a pedestrian crash involving a bus outside the Gateway Transit Center in northeast Portland, reports KATU2.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal incident occurred on Northeast Pacific Street, a little east of the entrance to the transit center.
At this time, authorities have not released the sequence of the events leading up to the crash, but a pedestrian was hit by a bus and was pronounced deceased.
A section of Northeast Pacific Street from the transit center to Northeast 99th Avenue was blocked off during an investigation.
No pending charges have been reported at this time.
