WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR — One person was sent to a hospital Wednesday morning after their truck ran off a Beaverton roadway and went down a 30-foot embankment, reports KATU2.
The accident occurred on Southwest Murray Boulevard near Southwest Millikan Way, at about 7:00 a.m. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crew members responded to the scene shortly after.
Officials have not released a sequence of events leading up to the wreck, but firefighters deployed a rope system to access and extricate the driver from the wreckage. After receiving treatment at the site, the patient was transported to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Slick roadways and black ice created from ongoing storm conditions in the area are believed to have been factors in the crash. Motorists were warned to take extra caution in the wake of the incident.
