PORTLAND, OR — One person died Monday afternoon after a single-vehicle accident in northeast Portland’s Sabin neighborhood, reports KATU.

The fatal collision occurred near the corner of Northeast Prescott Street and Northeast 12th Avenue, shortly after 12:15 p.m.

Few details have been disclosed at this time, but Portland Police said officers arrived to find a vehicle crashed against a power pole.

The driver was discovered deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.

A section of Northeast Prescott Street between Northeast 10th Avenue and Northeast 14th Avenue was shut down during the response and initial investigation.

The Portland Police Major Crash Team is handling the case.
