SCAPPOOSE, OR – One person died and another was injured after a car crash on Highway 30 Monday morning, reports KOIN.

A 22-year-old driver from St. Helens was traveling west on the highway east of Scappoose when he hit a guard rail and crossed into oncoming lanes.

He collided with a driver in a Toyota Camry and was ejected from his vehicle.

The victim, Mykal Kuhl, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, Thomas Price, 58, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
